In focus: Wagyu Beef
Ever since we featured the Wagyu beef of Joseph Decuis Farms at a February winemaker's dinner, Morgan's diners have enjoyed this outstanding beef as a mainstay on our menu. We’ve even included it on some of our Festival Menus, such as last month's Bacon Festival. And what makes Wagyu beef so incredible?
Our Wagyu comes from the Joseph Decuis farm, which produces incredible, unique flavors from cuts of their magnificent Full Bloodline Wagyu Beef. Chef Jimmy Schmidt actually visited the farm in Indiana to inspect the conditions and quality of the beef prior to putting it on the menu.
Wagyu is the breed of Japanese cattle that produces the famous “Kobe beef,” rumored to be raised on an all-beer diet with daily massages. Joseph Decuis feeds their cattle a special Japanese vegetarian diet, employing all-natural, drug-free, stress-free, humane husbandry practices at every step. The result is simply the best Wagyu beef in the U.S.
The next time you dine at Morgan's, be sure to look for the special cut of Wagyu featured on that day's menu.
