PGA WEST Welcomes Yamaha Golf Cars of Palm Springs
We are excited to announce that effective June 1, 2009, Yamaha Golf Cars of
Palm Springs will commence as the full-service repair and maintenance provider for
PGA WEST and for you! Here is a brief overview of the company:
- Yamaha Golf Cars of Palm Springs is family-owned and has been in business for more than 30 years. Jon and Rob Forsythe took over the company from their father, and was only the second Western-based company to be awarded a Yamaha Golf Car franchise.
- They are a full-service golf cart distributor that employs 40+ staff members.
- They are experienced, trained and authorized to work on the following and have experience with all major brands:
- Club Car
- EZ-GO
- Western
- Yamaha
- The company provides private carts, fleet carts, utility carts, along with manufacturing carts.
- All pricing for maintenance, service and hours of operation will remain as it currently exists.
- Yamaha will continue to communicate to you all essential information about service opportunities.
The hours of operation will be 8am-3pm beginning June 1st. Yamaha’s on-site supervisor will be Darrell Trinchro.
Yamaha engaged in conversations with Dave Henry, Electric Cart Supervisor for
PGA WEST, and wanted to retain him. In addition, I spoke to Dave and he has elected to retire and pursue other interests. I would like to personally thank Dave for his many years of service to PGA WEST and our Members. We are sorry to see him go but certainly wish him well. Dave’s last day will be June 1st, 2009.
Our mission for PGA WEST is to continually enhance the service, experience, quality
and value for our Members. The Forsythe’s, Rob and Jon, bring a new level of enthusiasm, energy and professionalism to our cart operations. I am excited about the future with Yamaha Golf Cars of Palm Springs and want to assure you they are committed to PGA WEST, and to you, to continue a long-standing tradition of quality cart service and repair.
